Details

BEP Quality ,Quad , Cluster Battery Master Switch , With DVSR

The 717-140A-DVSR is designed for twin engine installations. It allows the port engine to charge both the port start battery and the house battery when the port VSR is engaged. It also allows the starboard engine to charge both the starboard start battery and the house battery when the starboard VSR is engaged. This gives you a combined charge from two engines into the house battery until the voltage regulators on both engines control the charge. It also allows you to charge the house battery if steaming on one engine.
• Three battery banks

For use on charging systems under 140Amps

Dimensions:

10.8L X 6.5W x 3H inches

To be used in the following systems: Twin Outboard Triple Battery Bank

The Voltage Sensitive Relay (VSR) allows three batteries to be charged at the same time. When the engine is started and the start battery reaches 13.7 volts, the VSR engages, allowing two battery banks (start and house) to be charged simultaneously. When the voltage drops below 12.8 volts (eg the engine is stopped), the VSR disengages, separating the batteries. This system eliminates the possibility of draining the start battery and protects sensitive electronic equipment powered from the house battery from harmful engine start up spikes.

Advantages of fitting a VSR over conventional charge (diode isolators).
•Easy 3 wire connection at the battery. No need to bypass existing alternator wiring.
•VSRs have no volt drop. Conventional diode isolators incur a minimum of 0.6 volt drop.
•Compact size - No large heat sink
•Cost effective solution
